(About Afield)
Afield began in 2016 when two guides in Lisbon started inviting guests home for dinner after the tour. The dinners became weekends, the weekends became trips, and the trips spread to eight more regions.
Today we still plan every route ourselves, walk it before we sell it, and keep the groups small enough that the people you meet remember you too.

Every route is travelled by our team before it goes on the map.

Guides, cooks and drivers are paid above local rates, always directly.
Small footprint
Overland where possible, every flight offset twice, no single-use plastic on the road.

A person picks up the phone, day or night, for the whole trip.
